About Me...

I share the same birthday as Harvey Korman, Matt Groening and the adult film star Arnold Schwartzenpecker. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about me, well, then read on.

I'm a writer, actor, radio producer and nascent video maker. You can read, hear and see my work on this very site. Cool.

My writing has appeared many places, including the New York Times' Play Magazine, Los Angeles Times Magazine, Readers Digest, Hemispheres and Modern Humorist. Michael Lewis, author of Moneyball, selected one of my stories for inclusion in the Best American Sports Writing, 2006. That's why I'm selling it (quick, look above, right).

I've emoted (with great subtlety, of course) in the films 13 Conversations About One Thing, Whatever, Blackmale, Never Again and Strange Fruit. On television I've come into many a living room via the shows Ed and the long-running Sex and the City. In case you’re wondering, my character on the latter was named Mr. Pussy. Ladies “used him and then threw him away.” Sob.

In New York I performed with many theater companies including Elevator Repair Service, The Civilians and The Ridiculous Theatrical Co. Regionally, I “played the boards” at The Studio Theatre and Pennsylvania Stage Co., among others.

For pubic radio I've written, and either reported, produced or performed segments for the programs Only a Game, The Next Big Thing, Weekend America, Soundcheck, Day 2 Day, Performance Today, On the Media and Pacific Drift. From 2005-07 I produced nearly 50 member testimonials that were broadcast during KPCC’s (Pasadena, Calif.) pledge drives. Hopefully they helped the station retain listeners during the long, tedious fundraising hours. I've also licensed pieces to WDET, WNCU, WFIU, WNPR, WBFO and Public Interactive. If you don’t contribute to your local public radio station DO IT NOW!. (Otherwise I’m out of a job.)

These days I live in LA with my wife, Wendy, and HER two cats. Welcome to my site.
